Powering equitable access to STEAM education

Science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) power our world, but access to STEAM education, resources, and opportunities is highly inequitable across Canada.

The Pinnguaq Foundation believes that everyone, regardless of location, culture, historical inequities, gender, or language should have the opportunity to actively participate in, and benefit from, all the power that STEAM creates.

We fund innovative, interactive STEAM education opportunities and resources in rural, remote, Northern, and Indigenous communities, with a focus on culturally relevant, co-designed programming. We succeed through long-term relationship-building with our communities, partners and donors.

Community – We place rural, remote, Northern, and Indigenous communities at the heart of everything we do, co-creating solutions that foster growth and wellbeing.
Access – We believe that equitable access to STEAM learning unlocks potential for communities to set and achieve goals, find solutions and access more opportunity.
Learning – We know that learning is the key to sustainable, impactful solutions. Foundational to all of our work is collaborative learning and recursive knowledge-sharing.
